Eligibility Criteria: -
A. NRI category
(i) The applicants must possess a basic degree of M.B.B.S./B.D.S. (or equivalent) that is recognized by the Medical Council/Dental Council of India.
(ii) The applicants must be registered with any State Medical Council or State Dental Council in India.
(iii) A candidate who is completing his/her compulsory rotating internship on or before 18th August will be eligible for admission to the course in August. Applicants completing internship after 18th August but before 14th January could be permitted to join the course in January that year. Applicants completing after 14th January are not eligible for admission in that academic year.
(iv) To qualify for the NRI category, the Candidate must be supported by his/her spouse, parent(s), sibling(s) or his/her spouse’s parent(s)/sibling(s) having NRI status. A notary affidavit signed by the supporting relative should be furnished at the time of counseling.
B. General Category :
(i) The Candidate must be Indian National.
(ii) The upper age limit should be 35 years as on 1st September.
(iii) Candidates applying for D.M. must possess a Post-graduate degree (M.D.) in General Medicine or Pediatrics and for M.Ch. a post-graduate degree (M.S.) in general surgery from recognized medical college by MCI.
(iv) The Candidate must have permanent registration with a State Medical Council in India.
Admission Details:-
A.Non-Resident (NRI)/Foreign Student Category :
(i)The admission of candidates in this category will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the basic degree (M.B.B.S./B.D.S. or equivalent) after the application of a correction factor that is related to the number of failures during the course.
(ii)The Candidates applying for admission under this category are not required to appear for the entrance examination.
(iii)The Candidates applying under this category will not be considered for admission under general category.
B. General Category :
Admission of Candidates under this category will be made on the basis of Rank obtained in the All India Medical Post-graduate Entrance Test for medical graduates and Dental Post-graduate Entrance Test for dental graduate.
Admission to D.M./M.Ch. courses will be made on the basis of post-academic and professional record and a process consisting of a written test, a clinical exam and viva-voce. There will be no NRI/Foreign category seats in these courses.
