ADMISSION NOTIFICATION
Post Graduate Medical Degree / Diploma Courses & MDS Courses for the year 2008-09
(Endt. No.4259/EA2/2007, Dated. 04-02-200 
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission into Medical and Dental Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses in (MD/MS/PG Diploma/MDS) for the year 2008-09. The seats are available in the Medical and Dental Colleges of Andhra Pradesh which are affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences.
Procedure for obtaining application forms:
IN PERSON: The application forms along with Prospectus governing the admissions can be obtained from13-02-2008 to 29-02-2008 upto 5.00 p.m. at the following centres by paying Rs.600/- (Rs. 450/- for SC / ST category candidates) in the form of a Demand Draft drawn on any nationlised bank drawn not earlier than 04-02-2008 in favour of Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, payable at Vijayawada.
1. Principals of all Govt. Medical Colleges : For PG Medical Entrance Test
(except GMC, Ananthapur & RIMS, Kadapa)
2. Principals of Govt. Dental College, Hyderabad & Vijayawada : For MDS Entrance Test

Entrance Tests
BY POST :The application forms and prospectus can also be obtained by post specifying the course, and social status i.e., OC/BC/SC/ST, from the office of the Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, VIJAYAWADA -520 008 by submitting a written requisition duly enclosing a crossed demand draft for Rs.650/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST category candidates) drawn not earlier than 04-02-2008 on any Nationalised Bank in favour of Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, payable at Vijayawada. Those application forms obtained with cost of Rs.450/- / Rs.500/- shall not be considered for other than SC/ST category candidates.
Eligibility:
For P.G. Medical Entrance Test: Only the candidates those who have passed MBBS examination from an Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India and have completed their internship or completing on or before 31-03-2008 are eligible to appear the Entrance Test subject to the conditions specified in admission Regulations.
For M.D.S. Entrance Test: Only the candidates who have passed BDS examination from an institution recognised by the Dental Council of India and have completed their internship or completing on or before 31-03-2008 are eligible to appear subject to the conditions specified in admission Regulations.
Submission of filled in application forms:
For P.G. Medical Courses :The filled in application forms with all necessary documents should be submitted to the Principal of any one of the following Government Medical Colleges where the candidate wishes to appear for the Entrance Test, so as to reach the Principal of the respective college on or before 5-00 p.m. on 29-02-2008. (1.Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, 2. Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad, 3. Kakatiya Medical College, Warangal, 4. Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, 5. Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada, 6. Guntur Medical College, Guntur, 7. SV Medical College, Tirupathi, 8. Kurnool Medical College, Kurnool and 9. Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada)
For M.D.S. Courses: The filled in application forms with all necessary documents should be submitted to the Principal of any one of the following Government Dental Colleges where the candidate wishes to appear for the Entrance Test, so as to reach the Principal of the respective college on or before 5-00 p.m. on 29-02-2008.
(1.Government Dental College & Hospital, Afjalgunj, Hyderabad – 500 012, 2. Government Dental College & Hospital, Vijayawada – 520 002)
NOTE: 1. The filled in application form should not be sent to the office of Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada or Hyderabad, and such applications will not be considered.
2. Applications received after the due date and time shall stand rejected automatically. Postal delay or loss in transit shall not be accepted.
Selection: The selection of the candidates into PG Degree / Diploma courses is based on the merit in Entrance Test. The Entrance Test will be held on 12-03-2008 at the above nine (9) Medical Colleges from 10-00 a.m. to 1-00 p.m. The candidate should attend Entrance Test where he / she submitted the filled in application.
The selection of the candidates into MDS courses is based on their merit in Entrance Test. The Entrance Test will be held on 12-03-2008 at Government Dental College and Hospital, Hyderabad & Government Dental College & Hospital, Vijayawada from 11-00 a.m. to 12-30 p.m.
